Volunteering with Inspire Sri Lanka gives you a hands-on elephant experience in the beautiful country of Sri Lanka.  This is an elephant experience like no other!

Exclusively for volunteers and located in one of the most beautiful settings in Sri Lanka, the project is located in the newly formed Elephant Haven. The Elephant Haven has been established by Inspire Sri Lanka to save elephants from working in the tourist elephant back riding business.  The haven is a peacful home for elephants where they recieve medical care, attention, excercise and love and their mahouts also gain a better life.

Volunteers are essential to the success of this project - not only do you bring the extra pairs of hands we need for the work we do everyday but finacially you help us to maintain and grow our herd as we rescue more elephants.

Each day you will work with and learn about these magnificent yet endangered animals. You will help manage our eco farm and also spend time teaching English to disadvantaged local children.

By the end of your stay with us you will be able to read elephant body language, identify health and sickness signs in elephants, know elephant commands and have made friends and memories that will last a lifetime.
